we spent some time a couple of weeks ago picking up leaves and max learned all about leaf jumping that day. needless to say he came in with leaves in his underpants and in his ears that day.

a taste of fall
ok so fall has arrived and for those of you not in the area here is a peak at some of the colors that surround us new englanders. enjoy!!! the weather is getting cooler but we have been lucky, not too cold just yet. we have not had any of the white stuff yet either, which is more than ok with me. mark has been scoping out the snow blowers though.... max is great these days, a handful as usual, but lots of fun. he has discovered the art of tooting and annoucing it to the world... he'll give you a heads up with," it smells like somethig died in here." it funny until he annouces it in the middle of the grocery store. he has also discovered santa and toy commericals, he had decided that he should have every toy he sees on tv and has also decided he is going to stay up and wait for santa. it is going to be a LOOOOONG couple of months.

this is max and i on my birthday. mark had the camera and just kept taking pics, here are a couple of 'em. they are little blurry, but i thought he got the mood of the moment. thanks, babe

Mem
We have suffered another loss this past week. This is my memere, Jackie and she passed away on October 29 after a battle with stomach cancer. She was diagnosed this past February and tried to beat it with everything she had. She was quite a gal. For any of you who met her, you know she did not dance around things. She would tell you like it is, if you liked it or not. She loved to dance, sew, any kind of craft she could get her hands on and she owned any "new" thing on the market to fix stuff. She enjoyed old music, big band, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra to name a few. She was also the lonely Yankee fan in the family and we never let her forget it. We know she has been cursing since her passing since the Sox won the World Series or maybe she made it happen to give us all a reason to smile that day. She passed away with peace in the company of her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and she will be remembered always with a smile.Tuesday, October 16, 2007

last weekends of summer
well we are winding down the summer but we have definitely taken advantage of the great weather we have had the past few weekends. here is a look at some of the fun... hope everyone had a great summer, the xmas countdown is on-i'm sure mom will have her little calendar going any day now!!!!
we were able to spend a day with paula, ted, lex and cam and had opportunity to meet mr. vincent pinnetti. he is the cutie above that happens to belong to my old friend mike and his wife jess. it was great seeing them and hopefully we will be seeing more of them soon.

we also had a labor day cookout with the fam. this first picture is of my sister-in-law mel and evan. she has yet to appear on the blog and i have not heard the end of it so HERE SHE IS!! are you happy now, mel? just kidding!
mark, max and i have been able to spend some time just relaxing which has been awesome. we spent the day at horseneck beach last weekend. max is loving the waves this year and can finally sit long enough to play in the sand, although forget about a sand castle- he can't resist the urge to squash 'em.
another night spent with old friends was this past week with burgo. as you can see max enjoys his company as well. if any of you know burgo-you know this picture was not easy to get.

my father-in-law manny with max (making sure he doesn't get a sun burn while riding his bike)
just us trying to get a nice family shot-max didn't feel like sitting still (as usual), so here it is! today was a quiet day on the home front, just the 3 of us which was pretty nice. there was alot of car washing and waxing and a bit of shenanigans.
